Yes, preparations for this year’s School Concert, “Hello World This Is Me” are now in full swing, with students and teachers all across the school busily practicing their performance items.  The Grade 5 & 6 students have combined their individual class items into a miniature play - all the acting, singing, dancing and instrumental music are beginning to come together!   Years Prep - 4 students have selected musical items that follow the concert theme of self confidence and identity.  Several SMART 8 groups are also getting involved - Mr. Jenkins’ ‘Public Speaking in Character’ class will be performing as part of the Level 4 miniature play, our SMART 8 Choir, with Sarah Jenkins volunteering her time and talents to lead their practice sessions and  Mrs. Woods’ ‘Design’ class is also contributing a series of images that will be used as backdrops projected onto the back of the stage. There is going to be Live bands! There will be no pre-recorded music or backing tracks; all our singing groups will be accompanied by one of four live bands, under the guidance of the very talented Miss Preston.

The concert will be held at Crossway Baptist Church located at 2 Vision Drive, Burwood East (just off Springvale Road) and begins at 7:00pm on Wednesday 11^th November 2009.
