Congratulations to our 2025 Term One Principal Learning Award recipients who were presented with their award certificate at a special end of term whole school assembly on Friday 4th April 2025.
On Tuesday, 1st April, the Year 4 students welcomed families, peers, and Principals to an Expo showcasing their Inquiry learning.
On Monday 31st March, the level 3 cohort had the privilege of welcoming Taylor from Monash City Council as a guest speaker. Taylor shared valuable insights about the roles and responsibilities of the council and how their work shapes the community we live in.
Last week, from Wednesday 26th to Friday 28th March, our Year 5 students had an incredible time at Beechworth Camp. This experience provided a fantastic opportunity to explore Australian history, develop social and emotional skills, and strengthen friendships.
Congratulations to our 2025 Year 1-6 Junior School Council representatives who were presented with their leadership badges at assembly on Monday 3rd March (Year 3-6) and Thursday 6th March (Year 1-2).
On Wednesday 5th March, GWPS hosted a special morning tea for all staff to celebrate International Women’s Day. This year’s campaign theme was #AccelerateAction!
On Friday 28th February we held our Prep Picnic which was a resounding success! The preps ate their first lunch at school with their families and shared their learning whilst we developed a community spirit.
On Wednesday the 26th February we held our Year 7 (Class of 2024) Alumni Event. It was wonderful to see the vast majority of last year’s graduates again in our school, where they had the opportunity to re-connect and enjoy one another’s company again.
On Monday 25th February, our 16 Mass Dancers from Level 5 and 6 represented the GWPS community at The Basin Primary School as they rehearsed their dance numbers for the Victorian State School Spectacular.
