Throughout 2024, Glen Waverley Primary School is excited to continue our partnership with Canine Comprehension. This unique organisation offers targeted group programs designed to enhance students' social skills, confidence, study habits, and self-regulation.

By incorporating therapy dogs into these programs, we provide an additional dimension to support comprehensive development, nurturing emotional well-being and resilience.

  

Selected students have the opportunity to participate in the 8-week program on-site each term. Pre and post assessments are conducted to track students' progress and measure the program's effectiveness. Our students thoroughly enjoy interacting with Fern, the therapy dog, and find the experience both enriching and valuable.
