Year 3 Excursion Healesville Sanctuary
On Monday, June 3rd, and Tuesday, June 4th, our Year 3 students went on an excursion to Healesville Sanctuary. It was a thrilling adventure as they delved into the vibrant world of Australian wildlife.
Amidst the sanctuary's serene surroundings, they eagerly explored exhibits, encountering kangaroos, koalas, and birds of prey. The students actively engaged in learning about conservation efforts firsthand. They discovered how recycled plastic and wood are repurposed to craft homes for birds and possums, witnessing sustainability in action. Inspired by this eco-conscious initiative, the students enthusiastically embarked on a creative project, designing their own models for birdhouses, filled with innovative features. Their enthusiasm and newfound knowledge illuminated the excursion, leaving each student with a deeper appreciation for nature's wonders and the importance of looking after our environment.
