Year 3 Excursion to the Melbourne Museum
Our Year 3 students recently enjoyed an enriching excursion to the Melbourne Museum, where they had the opportunity to explore key themes related to our Term 3 Inquiry question: "How does Australia continue to change?"
During their visit, students delved into:
- The people, places, and events that have shaped Melbourne into the dynamic city it is today.
- The diversity and enduring cultures of Australia’s First Peoples.
- The evolution of Melbourne through art, fossil records, and historical insights.
This immersive experience brought history and culture to life, with students drawing meaningful connections between the Indigenous languages on display and their own cultural backgrounds. Many noticed similarities between the linguistic diversity of Australia’s First Peoples and that of their home countries, such as India.
