The songs in this year’s production include genres like jazz, funk, pop, and rock. Hara, the lead choreographer from the DET Performing Arts Unit, guided us through the riveting highly complex dance moves for this year’s massive performance along with help from a vibrant and supportive team of dance instructors. A clear highlight was when Hara and other instructors pointed out the enthusiasm, connection, listening skills and crisp movements of the team throughout the day.

I was at the VSSS rehearsal, we learnt so many dances and it was so fun. Our theme is On Air so we had dances about flight and things about height. Now we have to practice the songs we learnt today so we remember. - Aishwarya 6B
I went to the VSSS Mass Dance rehearsal and it was super cool seeing multiple schools come together and dance. We learnt 5 dances and I’m super excited to see the hoodie design this year. - Ngo-Shun 6E
My favourite dance was ‘Learning to Fly’ and ‘Freed from Desire’ because I loved the meaning of the song and how it impacted the dance. - Akeesha 6A
