During the visit, students explored how electricity travels from its source to our homes and discovered the vital role transformers play in safely adjusting voltage levels. They had the unique opportunity to observe the full transformer manufacturing process — from core assembly to final testing — gaining valuable insights into real-world applications of their classroom learning.

This hands-on experience brought their studies to life and sparked curiosity about the science and engineering behind the electricity we use every day.

Grayson: I enjoyed the really big cranes they used to transport the machinery to different parts of the factory.

Janhavi: I was amazed by learning about all the parts of the transformer, such as the core, the winding and the insulation.
