We were all prepared for the weather, but luckily it did not last too long. The students thoroughly enjoyed learning about how we are connected to the earth, through plants and animals. Preps had the opportunity to feed and hold farm animals, such as chickens and Guinea pigs and view native kangaroos and emus. We made delicious lemon cordial by squeezing lemons and explored the magnificent vegetable garden, identifying edible herbs, fruit and vegetables. It was a brilliant first excursion and I am sure the children will be talking about it in years to come.
