Minecraft Engineers is the latest exciting blend of coding, engineering, and creativity using everyone’s favourite game. Designed to pique students' curiosity and provide a foundation in engineering and programming using a game that we know students absolutely love -- Minecraft! In the first term of Minecraft Engineers, students will learn fundamental concepts of engineering and command-based programming through building a fully featured rollercoaster in Minecraft: Education Edition. Over the term, students will add a new technical element to their rollercoaster using commands and electrical circuits using redstone and creative design that's only limited to their imagination.

At Curious Minds, each week student investigate a different topic about how science and technology are changing our world. Every session is a combination of discussion, videos, games and an activity related to the topic.

  • Covering fingerprints: The lesson will be all about their hands, the prints they leave behind on the world around you, and how scientists and engineers use fingerprints in many different ways.
  • Cryptocurrency: Teaching them about Cryptocurrency, and digital currencies, for example Robux from the very popular game Roblox
  • Code Street: Once they learn about Crypto, they will take time to craft their own currency and trade it at code street, designing an E-Wallet (using cardboard), they will learn how to trade with crayons, pencils, chairs etc.
  • Investigate VR & AR: Children will design their own VR world worksheet, they will play some games as well
  • Rockets: They will learn about Rockets, by playing a game, and have discussions
  • History of Technology: Design and Create their own technology from recycled materials
