It was wonderful to see those who stepped out of their comfort zones and thrived when engaging in new experiences. Camp was a wonderful opportunity as learners built new connections with teachers and peers across the cohort. Some highlights from our camp experience include observing learners demonstrating respect and empathy when they encouraged and supported one another; the delicious snacks and meals prepared by Camp ADANAC; and the extremely popular GaGa pit!

Camp Reflections:
At camp I had a good time because I made new friends and I also had a lot of fun. One thing that was bad, was that some people were spreading rumours. But a really good thing happened to me. I made a couple of friends. I used my goal during camp as well. Which was to be more confident. I used this when making new friends and while also getting to know others. One thing I didn't like was packing all of my things into my suitcase at the end. I enjoyed all the activities and had a good time. I liked the activities, as I hadn't done aquaponding, hut building and camp cooking as well as the bushwalk, which was quite fun. The activities were nice and fun. Overall it was a pretty new and good experience and it was a decent camp. But I wish it was a longer camp like 5 days. Using my goal helped me quite a lot as it got me some new friends.

Throughout camp, I had realised that my goal wasn’t quite fit for me. So my main goal throughout camp was to actually enjoy each activity and have a memorable experience and a good time. There were many new activities to complete which filled our schedule to the most with a few extra hours of free time, many activities we did were Disc golf, GAGA pit, Damper cooking, Thunder hockey, Trampolines, Flying Fox, Aqua Ponding, Low Ropes, Hut building, Archery, Canoeing, Initiatives and Photo Hunt. To energise ourselves the camp offered delectable and delicious morning and afternoon snacks throughout the days. The camp staff were also quite friendly and welcoming with all the students. The night activities were also quite fun and had a nice experience with a warm, night movie night to an outside marshmallow campfire with a night walk. Overall, I tried everything and maximised each activity to its fullest and definitely enjoyed those three days. This last camp is definitely quite memorable and fun and will always be remembered!!
