The Glen Waverley Primary School Languages Program engages students in grasping a new language and improving their Mandarin skills through a range of rigorous learning experiences. Targeting the complex language of Chinese through learning of conversational skills, reading and writing simplified Chinese characters, and integrating whole school inquiry-based topics, the program also deepens students’ understanding of Chinese culture through stories, songs, and cultural events.
