Meet Gleny and Wafer, the new mascots for GWPS!

The Australian shepherd and quokka are always together, representing contribution, a well shown trait at GWPS. They know that collaboration is key to a socially healthy environment and they love helping others. They have always been together when they were young, leaving an everlasting happiness in everyone they meet. Gleny and Wafer love travelling around the world to make new friends, expressing our inclusion with the CIS community. Like how Glen Waverley Primary School students should show, they ensure that everyone stays on track with their learning but has tons of fun at the same time!

Both of the idols wear the represented colours of GWPS on a collar and scarf, hinting that Glen Waverley Primary students develop a sense of confidence in different shapes and sizes. They love celebrating our differences because they believe that they all make us who we are. Gleny and Wafer are the cutest duo, and will always be!

Gleny is full of energy and always on the go! With boundless enthusiasm, she loves getting involved in all sports, especially running and cross-country. She's always ready to compete, but also loves collaborating with others and helping them improve their skills. Gleny has a sharp, focused mind, which makes her excellent at leading by example and inspiring others to push their limits while having fun. Her favourite food, Fairy Bread, reminds her of the simple joys in life, and she enjoys sharing it with friends after a long run. Gleny is the sporty and energetic half of the duo. Her determination and commitment to staying active and positive makes her an excellent mascot for inspiring students to get involved and be active at school.

Wafer the Quokka
Age: 1 year old
Favourite Colour: Sunshine yellow
Favourite Subject: Wafer loves every subject, but his favourite is Maths!
Favourite Innovation: Everything
Favourite Food: Fairy Bread

Wafer is the curious and bright-eyed thinker of the pair. He has a keen love for learning and is particularly fond of Maths, where he can use his logical thinking to solve problems. Wafer loves debating with friends, always eager to share ideas and listen to others, making him the perfect mascot for encouraging open communication and critical thinking. He loves how innovation shapes the world around him, and he enjoys exploring new ideas with others. Wafer’s love for Fairy Bread makes him just as sweet as he is clever!
