Educational Intent

Junior Choir provides students with the opportunity to learn basic vocal technique and focuses on developing students’ abilities to sing in tune and in parts. Students will be introduced to reading music and working in an ensemble with a conductor. Junior Choir will also introduce students to basic Music theory and will develop students’ aural skills through learning scales and intervals using ‘SOLFA’. Junior Choir will have the opportunity to perform at school assemblies and school events.

Selection Criteria

There are no prerequisites for joining Junior Choir, anyone from Years 3 & 4 are welcome to join.

Rehearsals

Junior Choir is held fortnightly (Odd Weeks) Monday, Session 5.
