GRACE WONG - SPEECH PATHOLOGIST
Having commenced her career in a generalist rural community health setting, Grace is experienced in providing high quality speech pathology services to the acute hospital and aged care settings, as well as the outpatient community clinic (paediatric and adult), schools and kindergartens across NSW and VIC. Her experiences have led her to become passionate about providing innovative and therapeutic interventions across the lifespan, with particular interest in the culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) population.
RYO SUGIHARA - COUNSELLOR
Ryo is a highly experienced educator with over 10 years of experience working with children in an educational setting from infancy to primary-aged children and over 4 years of teaching experience here at Glen Waverley Primary School. Ryo is a strong advocate for student wellbeing and has a focus on enhancing the students’ school experience through their social, emotional and academic needs.
NICOLE NABOUT - PROVISIONAL PSYCHOLOGIST
Nicole Nabout is a provisional psychologist in her final year of a Master of Educational and Developmental Psychology at the University of Melbourne. Passionate about supporting children, she helps them identify and use their strengths to build positive school relationships and thrive in their social, emotional and educational journey. With a deep respect for the needs of families, Nicole fosters a compassionate and collaborative approach to her work. As a mum of twins, she understands the complexities of parenting and values creating supportive environments where children feel heard, empowered, and capable. Her goal is to help every child feel confident and successful.
MAHNOOR IJAZ - PROVISIONAL STUDENT COUNSELLOR
Mahnoor is a provisional student counsellor at Glen Waverley Primary School, currently completing her Master’s in Counselling Psychology at Monash University. Her approach to counselling focuses on empowering children with tools that foster long-term mental health benefits, rather than relying on “band-aid” solutions. She believes in the inherent resilience of children and aims to enhance this resilience so that any setback becomes a manageable challenge, not an insurmountable obstacle.
