They embarked on an educational bus journey to the Yakult Factory, which entailed a thirty-minute ride. Upon arrival, the students were given the opportunity to witness the meticulous process involved in producing Yakult, with a particular focus on ensuring the correct amount of beneficial bacteria in each bottle.
Their first destination within the factory was Level 1. As they stepped inside, they were greeted by a massive and endearing Yakult bottle that immediately caught their attention. Their teacher insisted on capturing the entire class gathered around this giant bottle, a moment of camaraderie they cherished. They were then taken on a behind-the-scenes tour, where they observed the bottling process carried out by machines. The bottles were shuttled from one room to another, and they marveled at the precision of the automated machinery involved in this intricate operation.
After Level 1, the students ascended to Level 2, where they encountered enormous tanks used for storing the liquid. Here, they gained insights into the tank-cleaning procedures and witnessed quality testing for the Yakult drinks. To their delight, they were treated to complimentary Yakult samples, providing many with their very first taste of this unique beverage.
Their educational experience continued with a short video presentation highlighting the health benefits of Yakult. Following the video, each student received a show bag to remember the day by. Reluctantly, it was time to bid farewell to the Yakult Factory and head back to GWPS. The visit was an unforgettable and fabulous experience that will be cherished by all who attended.
Marius 5D – There were a lot of machines that were required to make Yakult and it takes a week for the milk to ferment to have the right amount of bacteria in it.
Nicole 5C – I learnt that the bottles were made from the machines, and I thought they would take it over by hand, but it flew through the roof through a channel to the other side of the room.
Ivy 5C – I learnt that the drink has lots of good bacterial that was good for your gut.
Edwin 5C – Yakult restores the good bacteria in your body to fight the bad bacteria.
Sahana 5C – Yakult is very different in many countries. In Japan, they even have Yakult ramen and cosmetics.
Hansiga 5C – I learnt there are 0% artificial chemicals in Yakult.
