Jeans for Genes Day!
On Friday, the 10th of October, Glen Waverley Primary School was filled with excitement as students celebrated Jeans for Genes Day!
Teachers and Students came dressed in an assortment of Denim attire such as denim jackets, chambray shirts, acid wash jeans and double denim! It was a fantastic day filled with excitement, laughter and lots of smiles.
This fundraiser was for Jeans for Genes Australia which is a campaign which raises money and awareness for genetic diseases, birth defects, and childhood cancers that affect 1 in 20 children. It raises money for the Children’s Medical Research Institute (CMRI), to fund scientific and medical research aimed at finding cures and treatments.
The day was a huge success, raising an incredible $469.20. We are truly grateful for our families' generosity and continued support. Thank you all so much for contributing!!
