We are very proud to share that our school’s Open Chess Team has been crowned State Champions.

At the Chess Victoria Primary Open Finals, our team performed exceptionally well, finishing four points ahead of the second-placed school. As a result, our school will represent Victoria at the National Finals, which will be held in Victoria for the first time in many years during the first weekend of December.

Although the final margin was comfortable, the competition was challenging, with strong opponents scoring against us in each round. Nevertheless, the team’s consistent strength across all boards was a key factor in their success.

This achievement provides wonderful momentum as the team prepares for the National Finals. Congratulations to all students involved on this outstanding accomplishment as we are incredibly proud of you and also thank you to the numerous parents who support the children.
