Year One Chesterfield Farm Excursion
On Tuesday 4th May 2021, our Year One students visited Chesterfield Farm. This was an extremely special and significant day for our learners as this was their very first excursion which was a huge highlight for them as they did not experience an excursion last year due to COVID.
You can imagine the excitement and joy when they arrived at Chesterfield Farm. The students experienced many new and exciting learning opportunities such as: hand feeding animals, going on a tractor ride, interacting with baby animals, observing and learning about how cows are milked, a demonstration showing how a sheepdog rounds up sheep and finally visiting the Discovery Shed where they learnt about the importance of looking after animals and how they provide for us, from food to the clothes that we wear every day.
